The CBR Renegades have appointed former captain Ryan Smith as the second General Manager in team history, filling the role after the untimely passing of Steve Gillard earlier this past year. Smith brings to the table many years in the CBR Minor Hockey system as well as a number of years within the leadership of the CBR Jr. Renegades club.

With this appointment, Smith becomes the youngest GM in SJJHL history, a record previously held by Chris Ryan, GM of the Avalon Celtics.
